Michael's 39th, and Last Birthday!
Okay, so time marches on and I grow older, but as I promised myself long ago, I will grow older but not up! For your Jimmy Buffett fans you will recognize that from a song written long ago, but it still rings true! My birthday started with dinner at my sister's house with my family and a dip in the pool! Of course the pool was Savannah's favorite so we spend a great deal of time in the water! Next up on the birthday tour was a great brunch held with Ann Marie's parents and Aunt at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. The food was excellent and abundant (how many eggs Benedict can a man eat I must say) but the company and conversation was the best of all! When my birthday finally rolled around on the following Tuesday I was greeted as I woke by a smiling little girl holding a gift bag and a card. That was the BEST! After sharing a minute with Mom and Savannah I left for work and was surprised 4 hours later with a large selection of balloons that hovered over my desk prompting many well wishes and questions the remainder of the day! I guess have a birthday is not that bad after all! 39 it is, but ask me again next year!
